A statement from Paulette:
I understand that life can feel uncertain and overwhelming when seeking support. With years of experience working with adults who have struggled with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress, it is my goal to create a positive experience and safe connection so you will feel open to the process of therapeutic treatment and willing to discuss your concerns.
My Approach:
When I decide to connect with a new client, I consider each individual's unique experiences and past treatments. I work with the client to ensure the treatment is tailored to their specific needs using a variety of empirically validated, trauma-informed, neuro-cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based techniques. I also enjoy studying techniques and concepts that are on the cutting edge in our field, as well as those being developed in adjacent areas of study. I am dedicated to a continual pursuit of knowledge and development of personal awareness. This is in an effort to curate the most effective treatment for you.
As you begin your healing journey, you can rest assured that you will be in a confidential, non-judgmental, and allied environment. I will make every effort to meet you where you are and continue to greet you with the kindness, compassion, and understanding that every human being deserves.
What to Expect (First Session):
At your first session, you can expect to spend 90 minutes with Paulette as you discuss your concerns. This allows plenty of time for you to discuss background information, and history to aid in completing the assessment of how therapeutic treatment may proceed.
Appointments are offered on weekdays (T, W, Th) only. Limited evening appointments available for established clients only.
Paulette Kennedy, LPC does not file insurance.
